Our girls with their babies are raised right in our home.  All our babies are lovingly handled and nurtured from a very early age. We do this for the pure joy of raising high quality, loving Birmans.

The Birman adapts easily to a variety of social environments. Birmans are a hardy and robust cat that overtly demands attention from their owners. Their relatively maintenance-free, silky coat makes this breed a joy to handle as well as groom.

To keep their coat in great condition, please groom your birman kid at least once a week, this way there is less hair left around your home.

Our kittens come in Seal, Blue, Chocolate and Lilac.  Since we only have a few litters per year, if you are looking for something very special, please try to place your order early.

All our babies are registered, vaccinated, desexed, wormed, flea free and litter trained. Our babies go to their new homes from 12 to 14 weeks of age, with a clean bill of health from our vet. When they go to their new home they have their own kitten pack and booklet to help them settle in.

Freight can be arranged anywhere in Australia and Overseas, at the purchasers expense.

All our kittens and retired furry kids are an important part of Alishma Birmans. If for any reason you are unable to keep your pet purchased from us, PLEASE give us a call. We will help with placement assistance. We ask that you do not place any of our cats with a shelter, pet shop, rescue service or strangers.

If you have a family member that wishes to take possession of your pet, all we ask is that you give us their name and phone number so that we can keep track of our furry kids, as well as changing the cat's owner details with our Cat Registrar.

We are more than happy to give ongoing advice to beginners and owners who are new to the breed.

26 January, 2005 - 25 February, 2005

This little girl was the only surviving kitten out of a litter of five.  At just over one week of age her mummy stopped producing milk so we became her 'feeding mummy'. Well she was one little fighter this kid, even though she was only half the size of a kitten her age, she didn't care - she had more love and attitude in this little pocket size Birman than all mine together.

Sadly, due to an unfortunate accident she passed over to another special place to be with her sisters and brothers.

Majik is very sadly missed by our family. Rest in peace precious little one - you will always be in our hearts and memories.

Every kitten that I have is raised with all the loving attention that I can give it.
I have spent many hours cleaning litter trays, feeding, watering and worrying over each and everyone.

I answer the same questions time after time even though that information is clearly listed on my website.
I answer the questions and put up with rude behaviour of buyers who are upset that they can't get what they want when they want it.

I spend countless hours learning more about how to raise kittens better and more about my specific breed.
I spend ENORMOUS amounts of money at the vets and buying cat related supplies such as litter and quality food.
If you broke down what I bring in on each kitten as " profit " I would be making pennies per hour.

I spend much money, many hours preparing for, travelling to and attending cat shows and am thrilled to bring home a two dollar rosette.
I enjoy the camaraderie of other breeders and admire their cats even when their cats beat mine.
